Venus Satellite gets Vacuum Tested for IAI
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has put its Vegetation and Environment Monitoring New Micro-Satellite currently known as (Venus) to undergo rigorous test for max efficiency. The developers of this latest micro satellite have been a dual job between IAI and the National Center for Space Studies, a French space agency.
It has most recently gone under a system-level thermal vacuum test that the dual companies have agreed to have done and completed. Just one of many tests that it has forgone but is definitely not the last as technology can always be innovated.
Previously tested its subsystem and interfaces to test its potential in extreme heat or cold temperatures. Also, placed through a series of “satellite-level vibration and acoustic tests” which allowed IAI to successfully manage its launch conditions for the micro satellite.

The Venus has been forecasted to launch later in the year 2017 using An Arianespace Vega Launcher out of Kourou, French Guiana. A mission by the 265 kg satellite has already been assessed into two parts which includes a scientific expedition joined by a technological one.
As IAIs goal is to break into new frontiers for research and believe that by sending out two different expeditions types they will really be able to benefit greatly.
It is to be placed at a high of 720 km of altitude that is near a “polar sun-synchronous orbit”.
During the scientific mission, the Venus will also be equipped with a camera with 12 spectral bands that will be used to monitor the earths vegetation.
