Bell 505 Received European Aviation Safety Agency Certification
Bell Helicopter was founded 82 years ago by Lawrence Dale Bell as Bell Aircraft Corporation. It is well known for being the first company to acquire commercial certification for a helicopter and until today it delivered more than 35,000 aircrafts to customers around the globe.
Before WWII affected US in 1941, Larry Bell saw potential in a small model designed by Arthur Middleton. After half of a year, his team constructed the first Bell helicopter.
Bell Aerospace used to be constituted of three departments of Bell Aircraft Corporation, containing its helicopter department, which had become its only department still manufacturing complete aircraft since Textron purchased Bell Aerospace in 1960. Due to its success of the UH-1 during the Vietnam War, Bell Helicopter established itself as the largest department of Textron.
Therefore, on November 13th 2017 at the Dubai Airshow, European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced the certification of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. The helicopter already owns certifications from authorities in the US, Mexico, Chile etc.

Bell 505 Jet Ranger X is produced at Bell’s location in Mirabel, Quebec. Comparing with previous years, the production rate at this location has been relatively slow until now, but a noticeable increase is expected with a production of 100 aircrafts in 2018. However, the customers are quoted with a two year lead time.
