Textron Delivered Nine King Air Aircrafts to Canadian Operator CanWest Air
The Canadian medical transport operator CanWest Air has previously set a deal with American global aerospace parts manufacturer Textron for a new addition to their high performing fleet. The new planes have been intended to replace the previous fleet that they used to operate from a leasing company known as Nor-Alta Aviation. The previous fleet was filled with B200s Beechcraft series aircrafts.
The deal includes a total of nine King Air aircrafts but eight of them are 250 models and only one of are of a 350 model. These newly enhanced aircrafts have been optimized to be able to with stand the toughest of missions with state of the art equipment that has been added. With the latest equipment the aircraft will be able to take from some of the toughest terrains that Canada may present during an emergency operation.
Per a statement from AINonline.com they explain with great detail that the new equipment,
"Will include special modifications such as a cargo door and heavyweight landing gear, which will allow the turboprop twins to operate at an enhanced maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 13,420 pounds for the 250s and 16,500 pounds for the King Air 350."
