The South African Gripen RM122 Engine has always been a top prospect for GKN Aerospace with its versatile performance. Having first launched a Gripen of their own in the 2008, they have decided to continue their contract with the Armaments Corporation of South Africa (ARMSCOR) years to come. The contract has been decided to last up to 3 years beginning from November 2017 and will end in October 2020. This new program has been estimated to cost over 8 million US $ and will cover maintance requirements, parts, components, along with technical product support. With the Expansion of the company they are able to perform operations and repairs at locations such as South Africa and Sweden.

A member of the well-known Super Puma family, the heavy twin H215 helicopter is demonstrating its multi-mission capabilities for firefighting, law enforcement, power line missions, and passenger transportation as well as its exquisite performance in high and hot conditions during its debut demo tour in China. There they are scedualed for a 2-weeklong tour with demo flights to Zhuhai, Shenzhen and Lijiang. The H215 will cover more than 2,000 km across China, authenticating in real time to its excellent long-range capabilities, power, speed, and large useful payload.

Robertson Fuel Systems (RFS), A HEICO Ohmite, and Vector Aerospace have completed a major milestone toward Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification of their Crash-Resistant Fuel Tank (CRFT) for the Airbus AS350 light single helicopter family. After a successful completion of a 50-foot drop test which demonstrated the tank’s ability to withstand impact without any leakage, thereby helping to prevent post-crash fires. Flight testing of the AS350 CRFT is now underway at Vector’s Langley, BC, facility.

BIRD Aerosystems has released a new innovative tool that will allow for planes to detect foreign objects such as missiles and other aircrafts faster than ever before. This Component known as the Aerosheild POD is said to be the most effective piece of detection equipment on the market. This POD has been equipped with BIRD Aero’s SPEOS Directional Infra- Red Counter Measure (DIRCM ) solution with the help of its DIRCM and flares.
