The Russian Airforce Use Their Upgraded Tu-95MSM Bomber to Strike a Syrian Terrorists
The Russian air force has used their newly upgraded Tu-95MSM bomber to forcefully attack and bombard Syrian Terrorist. Using the Kh-101 Conventional Cruise missiles that were equipped upon the Tu-95MSM the missile was released on November 17. Video footage has been released by the Russian Military they successfully destroy “strongholds” of their enemy.
On this mission, there was two Tu-95MSMs that were accompanied by a standard non-upgraded Tu-95MS. These aircrafts were also joined by a plane named Vorkuta and Sukhoi Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters. Lastly were trailed by their refueling aircraft that was assigned to their mission known as the Ilyushin Il-78 tanker.
The Tu-95 is dated back to first be flown in the year 1952 involved as a long-range cruise missile carrier on assigned missions.
In contrary to the Tu-95 the Tu-95MS is available in two different types of “subtypes” resembling similar traits but carry their differences. The Older model is only allowed to be equipped with Kh-55 (AS-15A ‘Kent’) missiles while the more modern versions can be equipped with the Kh-55SM (AS-15B ‘Kent’) missiles. Another significant difference is the number of missile either aircrafts can travel with and carry. “the Tu-95MS6 carries six missiles on an internal rotary launcher, while the Tu-95MS16 carries an additional 10 missiles on pylons under the wings.”
